Luton Grappling Club

Privacy Notice

When you book a free class, Luton Grappling Club collects your first name, phone number and email address. We use them for one thing: to reply to you about a class.

What we do with it

Your details are stored in a spreadsheet the club controls, and one of the coaches is notified so they can get back to you. We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for advertising.

The law we rely on is Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR: you asked us to do something before you decide whether to join, and holding your details is how we do it.

Who else handles it

Two companies handle your details for us, on our instructions and for nothing else: Google, which holds the spreadsheet and sends the email to the coach, and Vercel, which hosts this website. Both may store data on servers outside the United Kingdom, under the safeguards those companies have in place for international transfers. Nobody else outside the club sees your details.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for 24 months from the last time we were in contact, and then we delete them. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we do it straight away.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it while a question about it is being sorted out. Message us on WhatsApp on 07496 251129 and we’ll do it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

The form is for an adult to fill in. If you are booking for your child, the phone number and email you give us are yours, and they are the ones we reply to. If the name you give us is your child’s, we use it for one thing: to put them in the right group. We never contact a child directly. A parent or guardian asks for any of the things listed above on the child’s behalf.

Who we are

Waiting on the clubThe registered company name and number, the registered office address, the email address for privacy requests, and whether the club is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Every one of those is a fact only the club can give us, and this page cannot be published honestly without them.
